Bill Wright’s First Porsche was a ‘88 911 Cabriolet purchased in 2001. His wife, Amy, had been wanting a convertible for several years and he had been wanting a sports car. It took them awhile to figure out that they could combine the 2 desires into one car. The ‘88 911 was just an addition to the stable. Soon after Bill sold the ‘88 911 he bought a ‘97 993. Amy wanted something a little more refined while Bill wanted more power! Bill would love to have another 3.2L Coupe someday, when the garage space permits. Later Bill purchased a ‘93 968 with 105k mi. He wanted a car he could use for both track events and as a sporting daily driver. Unfortunately with a helmet on he had to crank my head too far over to be comfortable for any length of time so he sold it. It was sold to a gentleman from Canada who flew down and drove it over 2,000 mi. home with no problems whatsoever. Presently Bill and Amy are looking for a used Cayenne so they can attend more Porsche club events and allow Amy to bring more than 3 prs. of shoes.....and their spoiled, pampered dog can come along. Bill is a member of PCA to meet and socialize with people that love these cars. Before moving to Nashville he was the Membership Chair for the Delaware PCA club for 3 yrs. He does a good portion of the maintenance and repair work on all his Porsche’s, Wicky bails him out when he gets into trouble. |
