Musik-Stadt Porsche Club

I am a founding member of Music Stadt Region and a member of PCA since that time.  My first sports car was a 1962 MGA which I purchased for $300 and drove for a few years at which time I purchased my first Porsche.  It was a 914 which was not in the best of condition which I purchased from Vaughn Motors on West End.  I then purchased a 1967 911 which I drove until 1983.  In 1983 I purchased a new Porsche 944 which I took delivery of in Germany.  One of my greatest Porsche experiences was taking delivery of this car and driving around Germany for four days.  I drove the car around the Neurbergring race course (14 miles a lap) which was the highlight of the trip.  In 1986 I purchased a 914 race car from David Bloodworth and began racing in SCCA.  Since then I have raced the 914, a Fiat 124, and a 944 in SCCA as well a Fiat 128 at a local dirt track.

I am attaching a picture from our latest race, a 13 hour endurance race at Virginia International Raceway in Danville, Virginia.  During practice a chunk of another cars brake rotor was thrown though the windshield so we drove the 13 hour race with chicken wire and a hole in the windshield.
