My favourite car of all time has to be the 917K. I first saw the cars on wide world of sports with Jim McKay. What an amazing show of power, speed, and wonderful styling with all of the models in 917 series. Ever since then I’ve been hooked on racing and Porsches. Now 30 years later I’m finally able to fulfill my dreams of racing as well. Michele and I bought our first Porsche just over three years ago – a 1976 911s. That single bite of the apple was all it took to seal my addiction. Since then I’ve been immersed in all things Porsche. I’ve now added a few more Porsches to the garage to help keep the 11s company. I’m now working on my racing license as well as rebuilding a ’76 912e. I love to build stuff and rebuilding the 12e is certainly an exciting challenge. Michele and I enjoy competition at the track as well as the camaraderie of close friends at regional events such as RennFest and Winterfest. Since joining the club we have had the opportunity to meet fellow Porschephiles and make friends from all over the world we’ll carry for a lifetime. I hope to see you at the track – in my rear-view mirror.
